The next Mozart...

Logan loves to make music. He blows into this purple recorder to make beautiful music for mommy. It is too cute!

Basketball

Alexia and Logan cheering for Ariel!

We have a very busy basketball schedule with both girls playing. Ariel had a game friday night and Alexia had a game Saturday morning. Ariel played Monday night and Alexia Tuesday night. They each have a game right after the other on Friday. We stay busy, but wouldn't have it any other way. The girls are both doing great and having a fun time. Alexia has improved so much just from last year. Jose said she is becoming a "real" athlete now!

This past weekend...

Sunday was a beautiful day. We started the day off with SS as usual. I help out in the Kindergarten classroom where I do a bible story once or twice a month and a weekly educational craft. After church, Jose replaced the window regulator in the Jeep. I have been unable to roll my window down for several months now. Jose has been embarrassed that I still drive through McDonald's for my daily Dr. Pepper. I had to make sure I drove up to the window just right so I could open my door to pay and get my drink! Today, the girl at McDonald's asked me if I got my window fixed. I was kind of embarrassed; I hoped they hadn't noticed!

After completing their weekly chores, the girls headed out for a bike ride. They like to ride around the neighborhood. I can't wait to buy a baby wagon for Logan. I think he is big enough now to cruise around with him. Ariel always loved it!!

Are you smarter than a Kindergartner?

You know the show...Are you smarter than a 5th grader? For those of you who do not know, I am enrolled in SPC pursuing an Associate of Arts in Teaching. My plan is to be a Bilingual major with a minor in ESL. I am enrolled in two actual education classes this semester and am required to do three observations this semester. February 15, I observed in a Kindergarten/ESL classroom. All of the students are of Hispanic background. These students did not know any English until they started either Pre-K or Kindergarten. I was very impressed and inspired by what they are being taught. They knew answers to some questions that I did not know the answer to, so I thought it would be fun to test your Texas History! Here it goes...

Are you smarter than a Kindergartner:
Do you know Texas'...

State tree?
State flower?
State large mammal?
State small mammal?
State snake?
State fish?
State bird?
State reptile?
State insect?
State dish?

Well, how did you do?

Answers:
Pecan

Look who's walking....

Logan took 9 steps to Alexia last night. She was so excited, I think she scared him. He's taken a few more steps here and there, but not as many. He'll be cruising around before we know it. He will turn 1 year old on March 27. He is such a blessing and a ton of fun! What an unexpected gift from above!

Just gettin started...

Thought I would create a blog to keep in touch with long lost and close, family and friends! What do you think? This way I can post pictures of the kids, update you on what's going on in the Rodriguez household without sending a thousand emails! Call me genius!
