My favorite Play Dough Recipe

This is by far the best recipe for Play Dough that I have found. It stays moist for a very long time and it smells great, plus it makes a ton.

2 C. flour
1 C. salt
2 Tbl spoons cream of tartar
2 packages of Kool-Aid--same flavor
2 C. water (easier to mix kool aid, baby oil and water together then pour in flour mixture)
2 Tbl spoons baby oil

Mix all ingredients together. Microwave for 4-5 minutes, stirring every 30-45 seconds. Continue until ball forms.

Your kids will love it and you might too!!

South Plains College Graduation

It only took ten plus years, but I finally graduated Friday, May 15, 2009 at 10:00 am with an Associate of Arts in Teaching. I wasn't too crazy about walking, but I thought it would be great for the kids to be there and be a part of the graduation. In the end, Ariel was the only one to attend because Alexia had earned a trip to Joyland with the school. I told her my feelings would not be hurt if she did not attend my graduation.

Posing with my sister Terra before graduation. My sister drove down from Booker Thursday, but had to return back to her family early Friday. We had a great evening watching Grey's finale on Thursday night and got up early to visit and drink a pot of coffee together Friday morning. We do not get to spend enough time together.

Posing after graduation...

After graduation with hubby Jose and Ariel....

Yeah Me!!

I'll transfer in the fall to Texas Tech (most likely) and graduate again in two more years!
Thank you to everyone who has helped out with kids while I attended class, or writing a paper, or doing homework. Jose deserves a big pat on the back for taking care of the kids when I had a ton of homework to do. I love you and you're the best husband in the world!!!

Logan's 2 year checkup

Logan is growing all up. Turned two years old March 27, 2009 and grew a mustache! I guess I cut off the top of his head or you could have seen his Alfalfa do (from Little Rascals).

We went to the doctor a month late on April 30, 2009.

Weight: 25 lbs 8 oz 20 percentile....little guy needs to beef up!
Height: 34" 50 percentile
Head Cir.: 19" 50 percentile

He is soooooo ornery!!

His new favorite words or phrases are:

I'm done.
I want that.
I want more.
Pee Pee
He has been naming things lately, like: bird, tree, rock and he'll say tweet tweet when he sees a bird.

He is doing really well with potty training. He does good at church and with the babysitter. He really enjoys peeing outside and has even learned if he sways his hips he can make the pee fling around! The other night he squatted and left two big surprises on my garage floor. I say that is a good thing since he doesn't want to go in his underwear. He was just too busy playing and didn't have the time to come inside.

He is a wonderful blessing and I thank God for him everyday. He has changed my life.
