What A Wonderful Mother's Day

First of all, let me just say that all of pictures are out of order. You can start at the bottom and work your way up if you want!!

I received a wonderful surprise after Sunday School on Mother's Day. Somebody secretly gave me the book Your Girl. It is a book on how to raise daughters to be godly women. I have been wanting to read this book since I heard about it, but had actually kind of forgot about it. Now I can't read it fast enough. It is a great book so far; really funny. Thank you for the wonderful surprise. It always feels good to be thought of. I have to say I was even a little teary eyed. Jose wouldn't tell me who gave it to him, but I think I know who you are! You are a wonderful blessing!! Love ya.

And for those of you with boys. They have Your Boy. The other one really is a great read and I bet this one is just as good. I will have to read it next.
Sunday afternoon Jose and our friend Casey tilled up part of our yard for a garden. Jose and I have wanted a garden for many years now, but something just seems to get in the way. Since they worked so hard in our yard first, Jose grilled steaks and I made baked potatoes and asparagus. We had a great meal. Monday night Jose went to Casey's to help him plant his garden. I tried to help with the rows, but Jose and Casey started getting a little territorial. They shooed us off because we were supposedly packing the dirt!

Ariel is helping Daddy plant some corn. I had to keep reminding him that she wants to help. See what I mean about being territorial?! Jose wants some sweet corn. They also planted tomatoes, squash, zucchini, bell peppers, jalapenos and watermelon. I might be at the Farmer's market selling me some organic veggies!! he he
Oh, and here is the "BIG" Mother's Day gift I received from Jose and the kids. I am proud to say that I am the owner of a shiny black 9mm hand gun. Jose said we need to go shooting so I can practice. I told him the gun wasn't ready yet that I need to dress it up with some bling!! He told me he is going to have to treat me like Barney Fife. I'm only allowed one bullet and I have to carry it in my pocket!! Talk about feelin the love, right?!?!

The girls were out of school on Friday so I took them to the park in Lubbock. They call it the "Castle Park" and they love it. Logan had a great time as well. The weather was perfect. I just followed Logan around and let him do his thing.

Isn't this the cutest picture. I just love it!!!
Logan thinks he is 7 or 8 years old already. This boy has no fear!! Kind of scary from a mother's perspective.
Alexia and Logan coming down the slide!
Saturday evening we went to Lobo Park to feed the ducks. The girls always love throwing bread to the ducks. I think their daddy even had a great time. The weather was beautiful. We didn't get a picture of the ducks, but here is one of us on the hill. Yeah, Logan wasn't very happy!

Anyway, we did a lot this weekend and had a great time. It was a wonderful Mother's Day weekend.

Hey, you know I was all for your gun. When I told Michael about it, he said "Is that such a good idea?" I just laughed.
He's been talking about getting me one, but I pointed out that he's always around, and when he's not, he leaves his for me. Plus, there was the whole mouse in the kitchen at 3 in the morning incident. Miss you so much!
