Cloudcroft, New Mexico

Two weekends in a row we enjoyed time away in New Mexico mountains. Valentine's weekend Jose and I went to Ruidoso with some friends from church...without the kids. Can you believe it? We need to do that more often. Jose's mom came down and watched the kids for us. This past weekend we went to Cloudcroft, New Mexico with Jose's Mom, and two brothers and their families. We were hoping to take the kids tubing, but there wasn't much snow in Cloudcroft. We instead drove to Alamogordo to enjoy the White Sands.
Jose and his mom....you can see the white sands for miles....

Our family on top of the hill we were sledding down......That's Logan and me sledding down the hill...he still isn't sure about it...

It took Logan a little time to warm up to the idea of this cold white sand, but eventually he started playing in it and eating it! After playing all morning and having a blast, later that evening Logan started throwing up and running a fever...again! Please pray for this little guy. He has had a rough February. He is still running fever so please pray that he gets better soon.

Jose with his Mom and brother Sergio...this was their first time to the white sands. They really enjoyed it. If you have never been it is a really neat place. You can see white sand for miles. It looks just like snow.
Alexia jumping off the hill...

Just a silly picture I took of us....just wanted to get my face on the blog for once! he he

Here comes Ariel....

The real reason I wanted to go to Cloudcroft....blackberry pie...it is awesome with a scoop of ice cream! The small Mountaintop Mercantile makes fresh pies and donuts everyday!

Jose chose caramel apple pecan...doesn't it look delicious! It is their best seller.

Isn't it great that God gave us wonderful mountains, wildlife, white sand, and fruit to enjoy everyday if we choose. Be thankful for the little things God has blessed us with to enjoy!
